The Winnipeg restaurant is located within the Kildonan Crossing retail development along Regent Avenue, one of the citys primary commercial corridors. The opening represents the companys first expansion into Canada through a Master Franchise and Development Agreement with Canadian operators Jim Werschler and Gregg Most of North 49 Frozen Custard and Steakburgers.

Local franchise ownership for the Manitoba location includes John Hall and Turner Ethans, who oversee operations at the Winnipeg restaurant.

Freddys is committed to providing high-quality menu items cooked fresh to order with genuine hospitality in a clean and welcoming environment, said Hall. We are pleased to introduce the Freddys concept to the Canadian market with our first restaurant in Winnipeg.

The restaurant serves a menu centered on cooked-to-order steakburgers made with lean ground beef, Vienna® Beef hot dogs, and shoestring fries. The menu also includes frozen custard desserts such as sundaes and concretes, which combine freshly churned chocolate or vanilla custard with various toppings.

One of the restaurants commonly ordered items is the Original Double Steakburger, which includes two thinly pressed beef patties topped with cheese, mustard, pickles, and onions on a toasted bun.

The Winnipeg location offers several service options, including dine-in seating, drive-through ordering, mobile ordering through the Freddys app, and online ordering through the companys website.

Restaurant hours are 10:30 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 10:30 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. Friday and Saturday.
